Japanese shipping giant NYK is topping up its finances with bond sales worth JPY 27bn ($254m).

The company said the unsecured notes are being sold to the public in two tranches.

The first of JPY 13bn matures over five years with an annual coupon of 0.29%.

The second is worth JPY 14bn. It pays interest of 0.65% over 10 years.
