Career finance professional Douglas Wheat has once again emerged as shipping’s highest-paid director based on 2019 compensation figures.
As chairman of both International Seaways and Overseas Shipholding Group (OSG), he earned $634,000 from the two positions, according to recent public filings.
This appears to be more than any other director in mainstream shipping based on available securities filings, although he made $648,000 in the two positions in 2018.
