Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line (IRISL) is setting up a joint venture with Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express, a subsidiary of the country’s national railways, to develop maritime services in the region.
The agreement to establish a joint company aims to encourage measures to facilitate maritime transport in the Caspian Sea region, joint cooperation in terminal management, and integrating services between Iran’s southern ports and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.
