Shipping fund manager Joakim Hannisdahl has won the right to keep working on his new business following a bitter split with Cleaves Securities.

The former equity analyst revealed he had resigned from his role at a joint venture with the Norwegian investment bank in October, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

He then launched his new fund Gersemi Asset Management.

Cleaves alleged he was marketing this to former clients in breach of his notice terms, winning an injunction on 4 November that prevented Hannisdahl from competing until 31 December.
