Performance Shipping will sell shares in an effort to double its fleet within the next two years, but not until the time is right.

The New York-listed owner of five aframax tankers said in its fourth-quarter earnings release on Friday that it was planning an at the market (ATM) filing giving it the ability to sell shares and raise capital with the end goal of growing its fleet.
