Greek shipping lender Piraeus Bank has said it is "exploring options" to manage its non-performing loans (NPL) - and has not yet sold its asset recovery unit.

It said a process was being carried out in the course of implementing its strategic plan and meeting supervisory commitments.

"In response to queries from the press, Piraeus Bank has stated that no decision has been taken by the authorised corporate bodies to sign an agreement in respect of its delinquent assets recovery unit," it added.
