Pyxis Tankers has acquired a seventh product tanker from a private affiliate following a loss-making third quarter but amid a better outlook for fixtures.
The New York-listed owner is splashing out $32m for the 50,300-dwt MR Pyxis Lamda (built 2017) from an affiliate controlled by chief executive Valentios "Eddie" Valentis.
