EDF Energy has parked its plans chartering in an LNG carrier newbuilding after pursuing a tender all year.
Those working closely on the project say the French utility has “at best delayed plans” for a lone vessel.
They explain that EDF’s board rejected the plan at the last moment in a surprise move.
This week, talk emerged linking EDF’s LNG business to Japanese trading giant Jera.
