A newly formed working group set up by the Society of International Gas Tanker and Terminal Operators (Sigtto) to study floating regasification and production units is due to meet in London this month.

Sigtto general manager Andrew Clifton says the “Floating LNG Installations” group will hold its first meeting in two weeks in the UK capital.

Excelerate Energy chief operating officer Ed Scott is to chair the new group, which will have a broad brief on the subject to look at floating LNG (FLNG) production and floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs), plus floating storage units (FSUs).
