A non-ice-breaking LNG carrier is heading to the Yamal LNG plant in the Russian Arctic to load its first cargo.

Tracking data show Sovcomflot (SCF Group)’s 170,200-cbm Pskov (built 2014) is due to arrive at the project’s Sabetta terminal on 15 July.

The Pskov is an ice-class 2 vessel and the first outside the project’s purpose-built Arc7 ice-breaking LNG carriers to visit the liquefaction plant.
