BP’s shipping arm is marketing two of its 10-year-old, Gem-class LNG carriers for sale on the basis of charterback deals on the ships.

LNG shipping players told TradeWinds that the energy major's BP Shipping is asking for offers on the dual-fuel diesel-electric (DFDE), 155,000-cbm British Ruby and British Diamond (both built 2008).

BP is offering the vessels on the basis of five-year time charters back to the company at rates in the range of $51,000 to $57,000 per day.
