Simpson Spence Young (SSY) plans to make a play in LNG derivatives as new products are launched in the coming months.

Chairman Mark Richardson says the company is eyeing up the new Sabine Pass LNG contract, which Cheniere Energy and financial markets company CME Group are looking to develop.

“Once they do, we will be looking at it closely with a view to broking it, and that would give our LNG chartering department additional perspective on the future pricing of the commodity,” he told TradeWinds.
