Singapore gas carrier owner BW LPG has reduced its loss in a stronger rate environment in the third quarter.

The net deficit was cut to $2.8m from $26.7m in the same three months of 2017.

This beat an average estimates for a loss of $5.37m in what analysts described as an uneventful quarter.

DNB Markets says the $19,400 per day secured by BW LPG's VLGCs was ahead of its expectations and the $15,200 per day reported by Avance Gas.
