Two LNG carriers from the fleet of Australia’s North West Shelf project are said to have been sold on subjects to Sinokor Merchant Marine in what is proving to be a drawn-out sales process.

Those with knowledge of the process said the ships are the Chevron-run, 140,708-cbm Northwest Swan (built 2004) and the Shell-operated, 127,443-cbm Northwest Stormpetrel (built 1994).

The Northwest Swan is the standout, more modern vessel of the seven LNG carriers that were offered for sale.
