Two parties have submitted ­offers for a floating storage and regasification unit to serve ­Sudan’s first LNG import facil­ity on the Red Sea.

TradeWinds understands that SunaGas, the state-run energy company, has received offers from Qatar Petroleum, and from trader Trafigura working in partnership with Dreifa Energy.

Company officials handling the business did not reply to ­requests for comment.

SunaGas officially floated its tender for an FSRU in June, requesting offers in the following month.
