A well-known face in the LNG industry is leaving Japanese shipowner K Line after 17 years.

Yuzuru Goto has handed over the reins of K Line LNG Shipping (UK) to Hiromichi Kato, the new managing director of the London-based arm of the business.

Goto will continue to work with two companies with which he has previously cooperated closely: Greek shipowner Chandris — with which K Line ordered two LNG newbuildings, the 173,400-cbm Patris and Kinisis (both built 2018) — and maritime safety consultant Propel.
