Mercuria Energy Group is set to make its mark as a charterer of LNG carriers after recruiting three traders from French utility EDF.
James Bloom, Julien Bourdeau and Andrea Nardella have joined Mercuria to set up a new LNG desk in London after quitting EDF, according to sources.
Indications are that Mercuria, which has still to confirm the appointments, has no plans to invest itself in owning LNG tonnage.
