Many shipowners are fond of public-relations companies handling their dealings with the media.

But Qatari LNG carrier giant Nakilat has gone a step further by employing state-funded TV station Al Jazeera to collaborate on "strategic media campaigns" such as documentaries, television advertisements and training.

The deal is focused on domestic and international audiences, the owner said.

“Nakilat is proud to collaborate with an internationally renowned media network such as Al Jazeera," Nakilat chief administration officer Rashid Al-Marri said.
