Two LNG carriers are heading for Freeport LNG as one of the US’ delayed liquefaction projects gears up to ship its first cargo.

Ship tracking data show the 155,300-cbm LNG Jurojin (built 2015) is due to arrive at the US Gulf-based plant this week. The vessel has previously been seen idling off Mexico.

A second vessel, the 177,000-cbm newbuilding Sohshu Maru, is set to berth at the new plant in mid-September.
