Brazilian LNG group targets FSRU-based imports starting in the fourth quarter

A new group of companies in Brazil plans to install a floating storage and regasification unit before the end of this year to import LNG.

A spokesman for Nitegas Energy Consortium, which is the group of outfits developing the project, told TradeWinds that imports into the state of Santa Catarina will start with an existing FSRU. This will be ready for operation from October.
