Two prominent LNG shipowners believe the LNG shipping market is on track in the near term albeit with some geopolitical and regulatory uncertainty.

But another is concerned about how the redelivery of relatively modern vessels from long-term charters may upset the balance from 2022.

Speaking at the TradeWinds Shipowners Forum in Athens today Capital Gas director Jerry Kalogiratos said that looking at the orderbook for this year there are only two to three uncommitted LNG carrier newbuildings.
