Evangelos Marinakis-controlled Capital Gas has chartered out one of its open and under-construction LNG carrier newbuildings for 10 years.

Market players following the company said the ship is one of Capital Gas’ three 2024-delivering newbuildings, which has been chartered to Japanese utility Tokyo Gas.

They indicated that the vessel has been fixed at a rate in the mid-$90,000-per-day range.

This appears to be the second major charter deal secured by Capital Gas in recent weeks.
