US producer Cheniere Energy is to supply a carbon emissions tag (CE tag) to each LNG cargo it ships in a bid to provide more transparency on emissions.
Speaking on an earnings call, Cheniere president and chief executive Jack Fusco said the company plans to provide customers with greenhouse-gas emissions data for its cargoes.
This will be provided using data from the wellhead to the cargo delivery point.
