Chinese clean-energy supplier Jovo Group has signed up for one 93,000-cbm VLGC newbuilding and a single midsize LNG carrier in deals totalling $200m at state-owned Jiangnan Shipyard.

Shipbuilding players with knowledge of the deal said Jovo is paying less than $80m for the dual-fuel VLGC and more than $120m for the 79,800-cbm LNG ship.

Jiangnan is slated to deliver the vessels between the end of 2023 and the first half 2024.

A Jiangnan executive declined to comment when contacted, while officials at Jovo were not immediately available.
