Australia’s Global Energy Ventures (GEV) is changing its name to signal its transition to a producer and transporter of hydrogen.
The Sydney-listed start-up wants to become Provaris Energy.
This will be subject to approval at a shareholders meeting on 5 May.
GEV has gradually shifted its emphasis from compressed natural gas (CNG) carriers to compressed hydrogen vessels and renewable energy projects.
“The company recognises the pursuit of universal energy and a lower emission future will require solutions that provide energy diversity and security of supply,” GEV said.
