Tor Olav Troim-led Golar LNG plans to cash in on “ near-record low LNG prices” as it pursues downstream LNG opportunities linked to its two power plant projects in Brazil and a possible third terminal in the country.

Announcing fourth quarter results Tuesday, the New York-listed company said the current market is adding “momentum” to its downstream distribution discussions with customers around its power plants and import terminals in Brazil.
