Golar LNG has struck a deal to sell its LNG carrier fleet to a joint venture to be led by Idan Ofer's Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS), with plans to list the new company on the Euronext Growth exchange in Oslo.
The new outfit — Cool Company (CoolCo) — will purchase Golar's eight tri-fuel diesel electric-powered LNG carriers with EPS picking up $150m in equity and the board chairman spot.
