Swiss petrochemical company Ineos has shipped the first cargo of ethane out of the US Gulf kicking off a new trade.

Ineos said its chartered vessel, Evergas’ 27,500-cbm Ineos Intrepid (built 2015), left energy logistics outfit Enterprise Products Partners’ Morgan's Point terminal on the Gulf Coast.

The vessel, one of eight ethane and LNG-capable so-called Dragon-ships which are capable of using LNG as fuel, is bound for Ineos’ Rafnes facility in Norway.
