The fleet of Japan’s J3 Consortium continues to shrink with the scrap sale of yet another elderly LNG carrier.

The partnership between NYK Line, Mitsui OSK Lines and K Line has sold the 125,835-cbm Senshu Maru (built 1984) for green recycling in India or $523 per ldt, or $15.85m in total.

According to gas sector sources, the steam turbine-powered ship is sailing from Indonesia to Singapore, after which it will proceed to Alang.
