KN, the Lithuanian energy company formerly known as Klaipedos Nafta, looks set to acquire a Hoegh LNG FSRU it currently has on long-term charter in a bid to maintain its energy security.
It said it plans to complete the deal for the 170,000-cbm FSRU Independence (built 2014) ahead of its charter expiry in December 2024.
