Norwegian ship design company Moss Maritime has revealed a new design for a liquefied hydrogen (LH2) bunker tanker drawn up in cooperation with Equinor, Wilhelmsen and DNV GL.

Sponsored by Innovation Norway, the project launched with the objective of pinpointing challenges and finding solutions for the storage and handling of liquid hydrogen on a vessel.

According to a press release issued by the project developers, the vessel has a cargo capacity of 9,000 cum and a cargo containment system designed to maximise insulation performance and meet stringent safety requirements.
