A bid deadline closed last week for the hotly-watched sale of two 10-year-old LNG carriers controlled by energy major Shell.

Interested parties said offers for the tri-fuel diesel-electric (TFDE) pair — the 170,000-cbm Methane Patricia Camila and Methane Mickie Harper (both built 2010) — went in on Wednesday.

Shell is understood to be offering five-year charter back deals on the South Korean-built, membrane-type vessels, both of which are fitted with on-board reliquefaction systems.
