There will be sufficient Panama Canal neopanamax ship transit slots available to meet the demand for containership, LNG and LPG carrier transits by 2030, according to US LNG producer Cheniere Energy.

Speaking at the LNG2019 meeting in Shanghai, Cheniere Energy manager commercial structuring Serena Xiaotian Su said about 45% of the the additional 120-million tonnes per annum of new LNG due onstream from the US by 2030 is expected to be exported through the Panama Canal.
