Malaysia’s Petronas has invited companies to start work on the design of its third floating LNG (FLNG) production unit.

The state-controlled energy giant launched a search for companies to lead consortia or joint ventures to work on the front-end engineering and design of a 2 million tonne per annum to 3-mtpa floater to be sited off Sabah, in east Malaysia.
