Energy major Total and Japanese shipowner MOL have signed a long-term charter contract have signed a long term contract for a pioneering LNG bunker vessel (LNGBV).
Total Marine Fuels Global Solutions (TMFGS) will charter a 18,600-cbm vessel to be delivered in 2020, confirming a TradeWinds report from Friday.
The vessel will be built by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) in China and fitted with the Mark III membrane containment system provided by the French company GTT.
