A Romanian crewman has died after falling from a ladder on a Ponant cruiseship in Chile.
Engineer Andrei Madalin Circhea, 25, was working on the 10,900-gt Le Boreal (built 2010) at the time, the Portal Portuario website reported.
The ship had been in Valparaiso for drydocking.
Ponant told TradeWinds the accident happened on 19 November.
"Investigations by local authorities are underway in order to determine the exact causes of the accident," it added.
