The new chief executive of the North of England Club is set to take on the additional responsibility of being chairman of the International Group of protection-and-indemnity clubs.

Paul Jennings, 55, has emerged as the front runner to replace the UK Club’s Hugo Wynn-Williams, 62, who is due to complete his three-year term as chairman in November.

Tradition

Jennings continues a tradition that the chairman of the International Group’s reinsurance subcommittee moves up to chairmanship of the organisation that links the 13 leading P&I clubs.
