Two long-serving directors of the Swedish Club who are retiring from the shipowner board were guests of honour as the Gothenburg insurance mutual marked its 146th anniversary.
Sumate Tanthuwanit, the founder of Bangkok-based Regional Container Lines, who has spent two decades on the Swedish Club board, recalled he insured his first ship with the mutual 37 years ago and continues to find Gothenburg an excellent place to buy marine insurance.
