Bermuda-based insurer Shoreline has launched a product to help shipowners guard against and respond to a host of growing political, security and criminal threats.
Its new crisis response cover is being provided in partnership with shipping intelligence outfit Control Risks.
Shoreline is better known for providing certificate of financial responsibility guarantees for US trading to thousands of ships.
The cooperation offers shipowners, operators and charterers access to Control Risks' global intelligence capability to help mitigate against a possible 26 perils covered by the policy.
