APL is accusing Matson of strong-arming customers into moving cargoes on its ships to maintain its monopoly in the US-Guam trade.

In an antitrust lawsuit filed in Washington, DC federal court — and the latest salvo in the years-long fight over the US territory — APL alleged Matson used everything from rewards to retaliation to prevent the CMA CGM subsidiary from gaining a foothold in Guam.
