Chembulk Tankers is the latest company to sue Valero over bad fuel, dragging the oil company into its dispute with an Interunity Management-linked shipowner.
Connecticut-based Chembulk filed a lawsuit on Friday in Houston federal court, accusing Valero of providing the 26,198-dwt Chem Ranger (built 2010) with off-spec fuel in March 2018 and seeking to recover $1.5m in damages.
