Crowley Marine Services is asking the courts to force a California tug owner to sell one of their ships in accordance with its charter.
Monday, the Crowley Maritime subsidiary filed suit in San Francisco federal court, arguing it has the right to buy the 414-gt Valor (built 2007) from Baydelta Navigation for $3.65m under an amended bareboat charter the two parties agreed to in 2012.
