Russian operator Morwenna Shipping Co has said no Danish migration laws were broken following the arrest of 28 of its seafarers in a work-permit row.

Danish police said on 9 March that the Russian mariners had been held at Rodbyhavn, accused of carrying out construction work on the Fehmarnbelt tunnel illegally.

TradeWinds is told the seafarers were working on two pusher tugs: the 285-dwt Conwenna (built 2018) and 311-dwt Trewenna (built 2019).
