Norwegian shipowner Georg Eide has failed to overturn a jail sentence in an illegal ship scrapping case.
Economic crime investigation agency Okokrim said the country’s Supreme Court had refused an appeal by the Eide Marine principal against a six-month prison term handed down in 2020.
This was the first jail sentence related to vessel demolition.
