A UK court has ultimately backed charterer Transgrain Shipping in a $4.5m time charter payment dispute with Greek owner Euroseas involving a debate over the meaning of the word capture following a bulker hijacking.

Justice Andrew Popplewell of the commercial court cited the example of his wife being able to "capture" his heart as showing that its use in a charterparty clause need not imply force.
