A Korean court has turned down a request for an arrest warrant for a Korean Register (KR) surveyor following the sinking of the VLOC Stellar Daisy in 2017.
The bulker went down off Uruguay with the loss of 22 of its 24 crew.
KR classed the Polaris Shipping vessel.
It said in a statement: "She was surveyed in accordance with our rules and regulations which comply with relevant international conventions.
