Ciner Shipping Industry & Trading is benefiting from a sharp pick-up in charter rates for modern wide-beam neo-panamax boxships.
The Turkish owner has fixed the 9,030-teu Switzerland (built 2016) for up to two years to Yang Ming Marine Transport at a “stunning” rate of $31,000 per day — more than 50% up on what it earned a year ago, European brokers say.
