Yang Ming Marine is pressing ahead with a long-awaited move for 20 containership newbuildings.
Following months of speculation, the shipowner told the Taiwan Stock Exchange it was contracting ships of 11,000-teu and a series of 2,800-teu ships.
The larger string of 10 vessels will be chartered from another owner, while the feederships will be booked to Yang Ming’s own account.
