The world of liner shipping is about to get a lot more colourful. Ocean Network Express, the result of the merger of Japan’s three big liner players, has replaced the traditional hull colours of black (NYK), blue (MOL) and grey (K Line) with magenta.
The official reason is to show the company is different from the rest. However, On Watch believes increased safety will be a positive side effect.
