Containerships bosses on board as it seeks expansion

Finland's Containerships is keeping its top management in place as it prepares for expansion under the ownership of French liner giant CMA CGM.

The companies announced on Wednesday that the Saade family containership operation will buy the Finnish firm's vessel and logistics business, adding 15 owned and chartered vessels, plus four LNG-ready newbuildings under construction in China.

Containerships CEO Kari-Pekka Laaksonen told TradeWinds: "During the transition period of theee to six months, our business and operations will continue as usual.
